Drawn light
This design is surprisingly easy. If you want, you can make it on a grid very quickly. However, it’s slightly out of proportion when you do it that way:
A much better method is to follow these steps:
Illustration of step 1 Start by drawing a rectangle. Make the width slightly less than the height; try for 7/8ths to 9/10ths.
Illustration of step 2 Mark the center of the top and bottom, and then every fourth on the sides.
Illustration of step 3 Connect the highest marks on sides to the bottom mark. Then connect the lowest marks on the sides to the top mark.
Illustration of step 4 Connect the marks on sides to each other.
Illustration of step 5 Trace the outline to finish the design.
