There’s nothing complicated about this design. All you need to do is watch your proportions to keep things balanced, and that’s easy as pie.
Here’s the steps to make a nice bit of clover:
Lightly draw a loosely defined plus. None of the arms should really be straight, but try to get them all around the same length. It’ll also help to make the arms on the side droop down. | |
Now that you have a guide, loop around the top three arms to form three teardrop shapes. The points of the teardrops should overlap in the center of the plus. | |
Using a few curves, turn the bottom arm into the stem. | |
Clean things up a little and your clover is finished. |
