Banana drawing in 2 ways will be described in this article! An international group of scientists has analyzed the DNA of bananas and found out that these cultivated plants have at least three ancestors, not known to the most widespread variety of Cavendish bananas today, which may disappear from all the counters of the world in the coming decades. The whole point is that plantations are suffering massively from a very persistent soil fungus that affects roots, stems, and fruits.
Because of this, sooner or later, we will have to look for another industrial variety to replace Cavendish, more resistant to infection. But even this will not give a hundred percent result: in the past, the epidemic affected the plantations of the Gros Michel variety, which filled the shelves until the 50s and 60s of the last century. It was replaced by Cavendish, which was more resistant to the fungus. But, as we can see, this could not save the situation.
About 7,000 years ago, bananas looked nothing like the large, tasty fruit everyone knows today. Back then, a wild species, today’s botanists call it Musa acuminata, reigned in warm and humid regions from India to Australia.
These ancestors of bananas were much smaller, the pulp of their fruit was filled with large black seeds, and most importantly, they were barely edible. Instead of pulp, people ate, oddly enough, the flowers or tubers of the banana tree. The fiber that was extracted from the stems was used for making rope and weaving. Therefore, even the inedible banana could be of benefit to mankind.
Let’s draw bananas together to try it first! Later, it was domesticated: most researchers agree that this happened in Papua New Guinea. Plants were crossed, selected, and useful traits were fixed, and as a result, today there are about a thousand varieties of bananas. But scientists still do not know when exactly it became a cultivated plant. Even genetic studies do not shed light on this mystery. The matter is also complicated by the fact that some bananas have the usual two sets of chromosomes, and others have three (like, for example, the same Cavendish) or even more.
This fact suggests that modern bananas are hybrids, which appeared after crossing two or more varieties or even different species. First of all, banana DNA is being researched to save agricultural species. They are too unprotected in the face of disease, and a lot of money is invested in their global production. Experts in banana genomics (there is such a direction) from the French Agricultural Research Center for International Development in Montpellier studied DNA samples from 68 species of wild and 154 species of cultivated bananas. This included 25 varieties growing in Papua New Guinea. The study’s results confirmed speculation that this region is where these plants were domesticated.
Now let’s get to drawing bananas immediately!
Banana drawing easy (option 1)
Step 1
The first step in drawing a banana is to create a half arc turned to the left.
Step 2
The next step is to connect the ends of our half arc
Step 3
At this point, we draw the peel on the right side of the banana
Step 4
Here we draw two small banana peels
Step 5
Draw the remaining bases of the banana peel
Step 6
Paint the center banana peel and the peel on the right side in a dark color!
Step 7
Also, darken the center peel and the top
Step 8
Darken the flesh of the banana
Step 9
Color our banana with bright pencils
Banana drawing cute (option 2)
Step 1
The first step in drawing a banana is to create a curved line at an angle
Step 2
Create a line parallel to it with a rounded end and a rectangular end
Step 3
Create the base of the first banana
Step 4
Darken our first banana
Step 5
Create the base of the second banana
Step 6
Darken the second banana
Step 7
Draw the third banana
Step 8
Darken it
Step 9
Draw the base of the fourth banana
Step 10
Also darken it
Step 11
In the same way, draw the base of the fifth banana
Step 12
Also darken it
Step 13
Finally, create the sixth banana
Step 14
Darken it
Step 15
Color our bananas with brightly colored pencils.
