Alligator Drawing Step By Step

Alligator drawing in 3 versions will be described in this article! Alligator grows to a size not exceeding 4 meters. Crocodiles reach 7 meters in length and more than a ton in weight. The snout of alligators is shorter and blunt, flattened at the top. The muzzle is wider than that of crocodiles. Crocodiles have long and pointed muzzles.

The body colour in representatives of both families is dark, closer to black. This is due to the high content of tannic acid in the water in which they live, which is contained in the bark of trees. If there is a large number of algae in the water, the body’s surface can also be green.

A feature of crocodiles is the design of the jaw apparatus. When they are closed, the lower fourth canines are visible. In alligators, the jaw completely covers all the teeth. In addition, they have a special depression in the upper jaw.

Alligators have sensors near their mouths – a kind of dark specks that perform an olfactory function. With their help, the animal locates the victim. In crocodiles, these spots are scattered over the entire surface of the back.

Let’s get down to drawing an alligator immediately!
